Oh yes. It was a good week indeed. The entire picture above cost about $54. I shopped Target and then made my way over to Publix. We skipped every other store this week because I wanted to sink the weeks grocery funds into the awesome stock up deals. I have to say that I'm more than pleased with my goodies!

21 boxes of cereal (Raisin Bran & Mini Wheats were the main ones, too!)

18 packs of Kraft Cheese Singles

6 Packs of Maxwell House Coffee

11 Boxes of Kashi Waffles

4 bottles of Kraft BBQ Sauce

6 Kraft Mayos

14 Kraft Easy Mac Singles

1 Kashi Frozen Entree

6 boxes of Triscuits

6 boxes of Wheat Thins
6 bottles of Kraft Salad Dressing

It was a stock up week to remember! The total before store sales (Publix and Target combined) was around $285 (I didn't do the exact math, just estimated). After Publix's buy one get one free sale it was down to just under $200 and with my coupons it came down to around $54.

Awesome!

This Week In Deals 3/15 through 3/21 deal week

I shopped early this week and thought I would put up my deal day run down early. Here's what I snagged! We had a stellar deal day!
We did our weekly shopping and came in WAY under budget. We are plenty stocked up on meats and such right now so I was able to do a bit of stocking up on other things that were on my coupon/sale radar.

Here is what I got.

4 Good Life Recipe cat foods (3lb bags)

6 Mott's 6-pack apple sauces

10 bags of Quaker rice cakes

3 bottles Gillette body wash

1 Huggies baby wipes (large refill bag)

1 Irish Spring body wash

3 Right Guard deodorants

5 Colgate toothpastes

6 packs of Walgreens diapers

4 bottles of soda

2 boxes of cereal

1 Kitty litter (25 lbs) not pictured

1 large Maxwell House coffee

3 Garnier Fructis conditioners

4 Garnier Fructis Stylers

1 Walgreens headache medicine (20 ct)

All this totalled
$164.86

After coupons it was $50.62

After gift cards earned from previous transactions it was $35.56 total out of pocket including taxes. Since our weekly budget is $65 this leaves us with a lot of money left over!

Not only that but I got a total of $24.00 back in rebates, Register Rewards, gift cards, and Extra Care Bucks for future purchases! YIPPEE!

I usually do my deals on Mondays or Wednesdays, but that didn't work out for us this week so Ryan and I ran out today to get the shopping done. We did really good. Here is the picture.

By taking advantage of super deals and matching up coupons with sale prices (gotta love buy one get one frees!) I managed to get my total of $169.66 down to $50.51 (this includes tax).

That is a tremendous savings!
Not only that, but I have a $10 rebate to send in for the Mouth Wash which actually makes my total only $40! WOW!

Saturday's Money Herding Tip -
As a rule, we generally cook and make snacks based on what is in our cupboard. This is just another way we stretch each dollar. We buy when food is cheapest and that is what we eat off of. This has created much variety in our diet and has challenged us to try foods that we normally wouldn't have. Those Flat Earth chips I got today were never something I would have just purchased - but, after trying them today I found that they are the best chips I have ever had! I will definitely keep an eye out for more coupons for those!

There have been very few things we really didn't like. My husband doesn't like Gillette razors and the SoyJoy bars were only so-so, but we have been pleasantly surprised by most of my odd deals.
