Okay, so this post isn't about being frugal or getting a deal at all. We are right on the beginning cusp of tropical storm fay and wind gusts of up to around 30 miles an hour are already here. No rain yet though she will be heading directly over us. We may even see the eye. If you have ever been in the eye of a giant storm then you know how cool and eerily it can be.
I was 13 when hurricane Hugo hit South Carolina. They eye came right over us - we even went outside in it. This storm isn't nearly packing the strength of Hugo but it is extremely slow moving and Fay has left her mark in the form of flood waters. She is bringing with her lots of water, wind, and tornadoes.
Here is a pre-video of our backyard. We will see if this storm is what it has been all cracked up to be when I go take more video after she has passed over. Maybe I will get some during the storm - depending on the winds and danger level.
