CVS this week - 9/7/2008 (or 9/5/2008)

I went to CVS yesterday and learned a few things.

I know that right now not all of our circulars are exactly the same. I decided to check on a few things to see if the sales in other circulars that were not in mine would still be marked down at my CVS. They were! I also found circulars there, too! That was a nice surprise!

Here is my favorite one.
  • Chex Mix is on sale for $1 a bag. This includes the yummy chocolate turtle flavor. Go here to print out your $1 off 1 coupon and get these for free! There are also printables for $.60 off 1 here and $1 off 2 here and there is a Sunday insert coupon for $.50 off 1.

Then I found a few other nice deals for this week of September 7, 2008 (or 5th).

  • Trident X-Care gum is $1 a pack. There were $.75 off 1 coupons in last months All You magazine making these only $.25 a pack. My husband chews gum like crazy so it is nice to keep our stock up for very little cost.
  • Malt-O-Meal cereals are still $1 each. Depending on your store's varieties you may be able to get a box for free if you have a $1 off printable found here.
  • If you use OTC allergy medicine this is a really good deal. Alavert is $5.99 and there are $4 off coupons here to make these $1.99 each.
  • This one is a potential $5 money maker - Bayer Contour Blood Glucose Monitors are $14.99. There is a $5 Extra Care Buck and then you can send your receipt in for a full rebate from the manufacturer. This is only a good deal if you are willing to send in and wait for the rebate. Rebates DO add up. I have a free after rebate tips page here if you are interested in learning more about free after rebate items.
  • Colgate Total is on sale this week buy one get one free at around $3 a tube (or less). There are $1.50 off 1 coupons for these in the September All You magazine making these very cheap or free if you have 2 coupons.
  • Aussie Shampoo and Conditioners are $2.99 each. There were $2 off 2 coupons in this past Sunday's coupon inserts. It is hard to tell from the way the ad is worded if you can still get a $1 ECB back on these but if you can it will make these $1 a piece after coupon and ECBs.
  • Stocking up on candy for the holidays? This deal isn't great but is worth a look. Nestle Fun Size Crunch bags are buy 1 get 1 free at $2.99. There are $1 off 2 coupons here making these just $1 per bag.
  • There are a number of L'Oreal skin products on sale for $5.99 with a $5.99 ECB. Age Perfect, Revitalift, or Skin Genesis cleansers or towelettes are a part of this deal.
  • Right Guard Xtreme or Sport deodorant is $2.99 with a $2 ECB. There were coupons for this product in an August newspaper insert. I didn't receive them but many regions did. Hopefully this deal will work out as a nice freebie for you.
  • Aquafresh toothpaste is $1.99 and there are $1 off 1 coupons here making these $.99 each.

So, there you have it! Not too shabby of a week. Did you find any exceptional deals at CVS this week? Leave a comment!
