Here is another use for some of that Kool-Aid you may have built up using your All You magazine Kraft coupons.
Lemon Kool-Aid in homemade dish detergent can add a nice scent while your dishwasher is running. We use equal parts borax and baking soda and add in a pack of lemon Kool-Aid per 1 1/2 to 2 cups of detergent. (you may need to adjust this per your dishwasher and water type).
To use this detergent mix we just add about 1 tablespoon (not heaping) to each detergent compartment. We have found this mix to do a find job at cleaning our dishes.
