Our First Giveaway! A Coupon Binder!

If any of you have come over here from my other blog you know that I love to give stuff away and this coupon folder has to be one of my most favorite giveaways yet. I wrote last week about my coupon binder and promised to have a giveaway for one shortly after. So, here is that promised giveaway!

To look at my coupon binder go here. The one you will receive will not look exactly the same as mine and may even differ from the one pictured here, though it will be similar. Although it wasn't always used for coupons, my binder is almost a decade old. You will get a brand new one and inside this new coupon binder will be a number of great additions.
  1. Coupon protector pages (sorry, no coupons)
  2. pen
  3. page protectors
  4. lined paper
  5. paperclips
  6. scissors
  7. a small calculator if I can find one - every store is sold out
  8. tabs for creating categories

I am going to run this giveaway for a week and then randomly choose one winner. If you want to enter please follow the directions below by Monday 8/25/08.
There are two ways to enter.

  • Leave a comment on this post telling me what kind of coupon system you use now and why it isn't working. This really isn't a requirement but I'd like to hear a little bit about your coupon organization. At minimum just leave a comment. Make sure to check back here next week if you don't want to leave a way for me to contact you.
  • For a second entry you can link to Frugal Heart in a blog post on your blog spreading the news about this giveaway. Then leave a second entry on this post. This entry must be separate from your first entry to count as an additional entry.

I will choose a winner within 48 hours after the giveaway ends and make an announcement here as well as do my best to contact said winner.

If you don't win make sure to check out the mother of coupon binders, Laura Williams, for step by step instructions on making your own coupon binder!

This is an Our Blessed Arrows giveaway. See our privacy policy here.

No system here at all - unless you count a ziplock bag and inserts all over the place lol Thanks for the chance to win.

I have a box i just stick them all in, and then when I am shopping I spend so much time hunting for a coupon I may or may not have...

I've been using a small accordion file for about a year now. It has worked okay for me until recently. I'm in need of a change for two reasons. 1) I'm getting more involved in finding coupons, so I need more space to store them. 2) My daughter is a wiggle toddler now, and we hope to have another in the near future. My hands are more full at the grocery store than they used to be, and I need my coupons stored in something that makes them easy to find when I need them.

Thanks for the giveaway. My fingers are crossed.

My current coupon system is a mess. I have them all jammed in my purse and it takes me forever to find what I am looking for.

Index card box for me. Definitely too small.

I just recently started marking the coupon inserts with the date and keeping them in sheet protectors in a binder. This way I can refer back to the right issue when I see a deal listed with coupons I need. I also have a sheet protector for store coupons like Target and also for internet coupons and the ones I cut out but couldn't use. This is pretty much the way I saw it on Coupon Mom awhile ago. It doesn't work the best but clipping and sorting them all was too time consuming!

I use a small plastic container with about 25 catagoies. The problem is I am running out of room and would like to make this my new system!

I use a plastic box and I organize them by monthly expiration dates. At least they are not all stashed in a container--it is still time consuming and I would like a better method.

I have them in a box, but I also would like to have a binder to pull out the ones I am going to use that week with all the lists for each store etc. Thanks for the giveaway!

Coupon binders are a great thing to have, they keep you organized and ready for that sale-everything you need is at your fingertips. I have a neat coupon binder and I've been telling my coworker friend she needs to get one too, because she loves the bargains but can never keep track of her stuff! This would make a great holiday gift for her!

I just started couponing not so long ago, and my "coupon system" is basically not throwing away any coupons until they expire. It's basically a (rather big and growing) pile of assorted coupons that needs serious organization. Your binder looks like a perfect solution to that! My current "system" is not working because it takes me forever to dig out the coupon that "I know I had somewhere".

Thank you for giving us a chance to win something that we'd REALLY use!

Lisa said...

I have been using a binder system and love it. Using card holders, with tabs for a-z to file all the coupons.
The one I have is worn out. :) Thanks for the opportunity to win.

My current system is an old plastic box I have had for years. I have dividers in it. Works ok most of the time. It has been left in the buggy, dropped in a bathroom sink but it still works ok. But I know I could do better with this system...Thanks for the giveaway.

Lori said...

I am in desperate need of an organization system. I have recently started couponing (about a month ago) and now I am a coupon NUT. I get several papers each week, print coupons like crazy...but my "SYSTEM" is a business sized envelope! Bursting at the seams! I have the grocery items in front, toiletries next and cleaning items last. Isn't that awful???

Right now I'm using a 4 x 7 photo album, but it's really not working out too well because I now have too many coupons. It used to work for when I wasn't good at this and didn't know what I was doing, but now it's becoming really hard to manage and I feel like I spend hours reoganizing it every single day just to make things fit.

Thanks for entering me!

Right now I follow the Coupon Mom's plan for storing and using coupons. My only trouble is the extra coupons I come across - catalina, ones that come with freebies, etc. I have no good system for dealing with those!

Love your blog!

Boy, is my system failing me! I have a small plastic divided file, which is beginning to show wear. I separate my coupons for various deals and trips into envelopes, but they rarely make it back into the file when I'm done. I often end up misplacing my good coupons or placing the unused ones in my purse and forgetting them. I need a system that helps me to be a bit more organized!

Anonymous said...

My current organizer is a 3x5 expandable file with 10 tabs. It is way too small, it is so full I can't close it, and it takes me forever to find the coupon I am looking for. Your organizer looks wonderful! Thanks for the giveaway!

I am new to the coupon game and just enjoy your site everyday. I am currently using a small coupon file for my purse and a box to hold all my coupons(not a good idea - 2 system and a lot of time wasted). I take the coupons out of the box and put them in the pocket file when heading to the store. Yes of course I forget some coupons. I see how organized you are and would luv to have a system like yours. Can't wait to start your system.

Coupon system? Well, let's just say they are all kept in my checkbook. That's about as organized as it gets. I bought a new house in February so coupons are a must do for me. This would make my life so much easier.

Right now I use to coupon "holders" One for food and one for everything else because it won't all fit into one. The one I have for everything else is so stuffed I can barely get it closed and I still have to sort through my soupons at the store because I can't see them all clearly. I would love to win this. Thanks for the giveaway!!

I currently have NO organization. I've tried a couple of things with no success. Small binder with pockets was the most recent failure.

Jenn said...

I have never heard of this system, but I love it! Right now I use a coupon divider (a section for food, household items, health/beauty, baby and pets). It works okay, but I'm constantly going through to see what's expired. HELP!

I really need a system. Right now I cut out my coupons, but them in a photo box and get out what I need. The problem is when I go out I don't have what I need when I see a good deal. I always carry by BABY coupons with me. I really need some organization!

I was an accordion file girl for years. I just recently went to a binder system myself and it makes things SO MUCH EASIER! My SIL is a couponer, too, as is my best friend (or will be as soon as she returns from the mission field on furlow - she was before she left, too). So I'd love to use the binder from this giveaway to help one of them get a good footing in the world of "extreme couponing."

BTW, love your blog! I am fairly new to couponing and currently use a recipe file box. I took the recipe cards and use them as dividers for my different sections and now the file box is over-flowing from the past few months of coupons that I am clipping! Your coupon binder would be WONDERFUL!

I currently use a Photo Album system for my coupons. But I've found that it's simply not enough for all the Q's I've gathered - it seems to be growing fast!

Plus, I don't really like to bring my Photo Album to the shops - it's BIG and not to mention odd looking to carry a photo album around Walgreens :)

I keep my coupons in a drawer with no real organization other than I try to keep ones close to the top that are expiring soon. I really need some way to keep them better sorted out.

I use an an ordinary coupon file that is rapidly becoming too small as I enter the world of online coupons! I've got so many coupons that I've used duct tape to keep my little file together!

Your blog title makes my heart happy because coupons make my head hurt! I'm just now trying to figure out this whole new world of coupon-combining, and my mind does not naturally think the way it seems like most other couponers think! It's been a slow, painful process, but I really want to help out my husband and our budget in this way, so I press on, aching brain and all. =) I am getting a little better, PTL! Anyway, it was just so nice to read your title and know that I'm not alone, and so encouraging to then read your blog and see you helping others. Obviously you've gotten it down! I've been using labeled envelopes. Not a great system.

If I could say that I had a current system (which it is a very broken system) it would be I clip coupons and put them in a regular business size envelope. On the outside of the envelpe I write when it expires, what it is for, how many, what size, etc. It is not working for me because it is time consuming and I have two kids age 2 and almost 8 months vying for my time.

System?
Hmh. I got this cute little wire basket for the kitchen and decided to keep my coupons there. That's all fine and good because I DO go through every couple weeks and throw out the old.
BUT, when it comes time to get groceries (which I dread) I do not want to have go through all those coupons so I use none!
An organizer would be great; separate categories would make it quick and easy.
I may as well not even clip; the way I do it.

My current coupon system consists of a box that I have tried to file the coupons in, it's difficult to see - and know which ones are expired, etc...

I think this new system would work wonders in my coupon system!

My coupon system isn't really a system. I have them all stacked up in a spot on the counter and every time I go shopping, I sort through the whole pack to see if there's anything I can use. Then I take the ones I might use, put them in a small white envelope and take them with me to the store where I sort and resort through them looking for particular ones I thought I had and wishing I had brought different ones along.

I use an old photo album and slide the coupons by category into where the photos used to go. It doesn't work so well, because they coupons are hard to get in and out, and you can't see them all. Hope I win! elizgodawgs(at)yahoo(dot)com

I use a small accordion file and file the coupons by expiration date. When I need a coupon I search couponmom.com and find the month it expires and search for it in the coupons. The reason I file by expire date is so when the current month is over I just have to pull out that month's coupons to throw away. My file is too small because I can't close it. Seems to be working well for me.

noreen said...

I have a small accordian style file, it is about the size of regular coupon but most have to be folded in half. I got it in the dollar section of target. It just does not work. I can't always find a coupon when I need it or I forget I even have one for that product!!
