Coupon Policy - Walmart

Walmart: print (Walmart employees and managers don't always know or understand Walmart's official coupon policies. It is a good idea to carry a copy of it with you.)

Wal-Mart accepts the following types of coupons (see guidelines below):

• Manufacturer coupons (Cents Off)
• Free merchandise (or manufacturer's Buy-One-Get-One-Free) coupons
• Store coupons
• Pharmacy (Advertising and Promotional) coupons
• Internet coupons
• Soft drink container caps

The following are guidelines and limits:

• Wal-Mart only accepts coupons for merchandise we sell and only when presented at the time of purchase.
• Coupons should have an expiration date and be presented within the valid dates. Wal-Mart will not accept expired coupons.
• Internet coupons should be legible and say "Manufacturer Coupon." There should be a valid remit address for the manufacturer and a scannable bar code.
• Only one coupon per item is permitted.
• Use of 40 or more coupons per transaction will require approval by Customer Service Manager.

Unlike most other stores, individual Walmart stores are not allowed to modify Walmart's official coupon policy. Walmarts policy is across the board. If a Walmart tries to refuse your printables just show them their policy. This almost always corrects the situation. If it doesn't a kind phone call to Walmart's corporate office at 1-800-WALMART (1-800-925-6278) will solve the issue.

Walmart Rocked Today!

Just a heads up for you gals -
I don't know if any of you will experience this at your Walmart grocery store but I thought I would pass it along anyway.
I was amazed at my local Walmart's prices today. It seems as if a ton of items were marked much cheaper than I usually find them.
Bread was cheaper at Walmart today than we can find it at the discount bread store, too!

Just wanted to let ya'll know. You may want to browse your local Walmart and see what yours is up to.

Check out your store's prices before just tossing the items in the basket. My daughter and I have also found that scanning them at the little price check stations is a sure way to find out if they will scan less than the shelf price. Sometimes deals aren't marked down like they are supposed to be but they still scan at the discounted price.

I won't be buying all of this stuff - much of it is a better deal for me at the Commissary. The freebies, the paper, and the Steamers are some of my favorite Walmart regulars so I will be making a stop there this week to add to my stock up cabinet and freezer.

CVS, Walmart, & Publix this week of 10/12/08

I went shopping yesterday but skipped Walgreens. I may hit it today or tomorrow if I happen to be going past but my closest store is about 10 miles away and there wasn't anything spectacular this week - except the Dimetapp deal.
Anyway, this week we went to CVS, Walmart, and Publix.

At Publix I got 14 boxes of cereal for around $1.05 a box. It was a good week to stock up on cereal and I wasn't going to let the opportunity pass. Publix, through Tuesday (Monday in some places, I think) is having a great cereal deal on Mini Wheats and other select Kelloggs cereals. I have already written about this but wanted to remind everybody that this is a very good stock up week because the coupons rock!

Frosted Mini Wheats $1 off 1 coupons can be printed here and here. I ended up being able to print 10 coupons total. Don't be fooled by the picture either. These coupons are good on 3 different varieties so make sure you read the wording.

There are also $1 off any one Kelloggs coupons here and here.

My Publix had Frosted Mini Wheats on sale buy one at $4.09 get one free. And Froot Loops, Apple Jacks, Pops, and Frosted Flakes were buy one at $4.38 get one free. I used a $1 off 1 coupon for every box I purchased stocked up on cereal for just a little over $1 a box.
Since my Publix tends to set their sale prices a little higher than most Publix you should be able to get your cereals for even cheaper!

I also got 20 Yoplait Light Yogurts for just $5. That's only $.25 a yogurt. They are on sale 20 for $10 and I used these $1 off 4 coupons to make this a really good deal. All six of my kids love yogurt and would eat it with every meal if I let them. I cannot believe how much cheap and free yogurt we have had in this house in the last 3 months.

And they have Vlasic pickles on sale buy one get one free for $2 (something?). I don't have my receipt in front of me. I used two $1 off 1 Vlasic coupons and got these for less than $.50 a jar. We eat a lot of pickles around here and my kids love the sandwich stackers.

Then I hit Walmart and picked up a few of my regular freebies and deals.

• Preparation H Wipes are $2.97. There is a $3 off 1 coupon here (updated with a new expiration date) making these free.
• Vlasic Relish is always $1 at my Walmart. I still have a ton of $1 off 1 coupons left over from the Crunch In The Fast Lane sweepstakes and got 2 jars for free. If you want some of these let me know. I have more than I can possibly use by December when they expire. They are printables - one of the PDF kind that lets you print as many as you want and I guess we went a little overboard. Just email me and I will snail mail a couple to you.
• HP 500 sheet reams of printer paper are $4.88. I still have some of these $3 off 1 coupons (click the link then scroll down to find the paper link) and got my printer paper for only $1.88. I have used the coupons numerous times over the last two months and have stocked up pretty well on printer paper.
• Chex Mix bars were $2.49 (around $2 at many Walmarts). I used some of these $1.25 off 1 coupons and splurged a bit for my kids - I wouldn't normally buy these types of foods unless they were under $1.
• Buddies Soaps are $.94 each. I used my $3 off 3 coupon from a September Sunday insert and got 3 of these for free.
• Just Bunches cereal is just $2.88 a box. There is a $2 off 1 coupon here and I got a box for only $.88. Some Walmarts have these on roll back 2 for $2 making this deal even better!

CVS was good. Just make sure to pick up your Reinventing Beauty magazine, or two or three. These are $.99 and are packed with coupons that will pay for themselves immediately this week.

• Life Water is 5 for $5 with a $3 ECB. I use two $1 off 2 coupons from the Beauty Magazine and got these for free after coupons and ECBs.
• Maxfresh toothpaste is $2.99 with a $2 ECB all month long. The Beauty Magazine I mentioned above has a few $1 off 1 coupons inside making your toothpaste free after coupon and ECBs. It says that this deal is only good twice but I bought two and it still showed on my receipt that I can do this one again so I don't know what the actual limit is.
• Colgate Total is $3.49 with a $2 ECB. I bought two and used two $1.50 off 1 coupons from last months All You magazine (Walmart publication) and got these for free.

I now have enough toothpaste to keep my entire neighborhood's teeth clean until
the turn of the next century.

• Natures Bounty vitamins are buy one get one free with a $2 ECB when you buy 2. I picked up 2 bottles of B-2 at $7.48 and used two of these $2 off 1 coupons. After coupons and the ECBs I got these for around $.75 a bottle.
• I wanted to do the Swiffer Sweeper deal but they didn't have the sweeper in stock so I will be going back today because their truck came yesterday.
  Buy $10 in select Swiffer products get a $5 ECB. I have a coupon that is buy a sweeper (CVS $7.99) get a duster (CVS $6.99) free. Then I have two $1 off coupons (one for each product). This makes my sweeper and duster just $.50 each after coupons and ECBs.
• I also got some Sally Hansen nail polish - I love this stuff but don't normally get it because it is so expensive. I used $3 off 2 coupons from my Beauty Magazine and got them from just a little over $1. I picked up some fun colors - marine, light green, and light orange - to let the kid in me out and break the 'adult' rule. I am so tired of red and pink nails. Who made these rules anyway?
  I also wear blue mascara - EEEK!!! Although I don't go overboard and keep my eye shadow a bit more subdued.
• Cover Girl makeup is buy $10 get $3 in ECBs. I used a buy one foundation get a free face product coupon that I got in a recent Sunday paper insert. Then I used two $1 off any one Cover Girl product coupons and got these for almost free. Makeup prices do vary from area to area so be sure to take a calculator if you are a numbers person.

Although the nail polish did cost me a little money most everything else paid for itself after ECBs. I love coupons.

My deals today - Walgreens, Walmart, CVS

I usually do my shopping on Wednesday but this week was different. I have been really tired and kinda overwhelmed with couponing and such so I decided to just rest for a few days and then jump back into it.
Am I ever glad I waited!

• Windex glass cleaner is on sale through today for $2.50. Use the $2 off 1 coupon here and then get your $1 Easy Rebate for a $.50 overage!
• Fantastik Cleaner is $2.50 through today. Use the $1.50 off 1 coupon here and then get your $1 Easy Rebate to get these for free!

Some good Walmart deals I partook in today were:

• Preparation H Wipes are $2.97. There is a $3 off 1 coupon here (updated with a new expiration date) making these free.
• Vlasic Relish is always $1 at my Walmart. I still have a ton of $1 off 1 coupons left over from the Crunch In The Fast Lane sweepstakes and got 2 jars for free.
• Green Giant Steamers were as little as $1.23 a bag. I used 3 coupons from this past Sunday paper, and 3 printables from here and here to get 6 bags for $.23 each. I am not sure which printables are still available because I have already printed my allowed coupons.

• 32 oz Vitamin Water is $2.29 with a $2.29 ECB through today. This is free after ECBs.
• CVS Vitamin D is $2.99 with a $2.99 ECB though October making them free after ECBs.
• Well Patch arthritis relief is $5.99 with a $5.99 ECB. You can do this deal 5 times this month and get them all for free after ECBs.

I will receive $16 in Easy Rebates from Walgreens, and I got back $11.27 in Extra Care Bucks from CVS. Very Nice!!!

Let me take a quick minute to explain how I got the $81.48 down to $8.43 (click on each highlighted word to get more specific how-tos). On really good deal weeks I store up Walgreens Register Rewards (dollar off coupons that print out after specified products are purchased - most of which I use coupons on to get for free or extremely cheap) and I do every free after rebate Walgreens offers each month. I also wait for coupons that make cheap after rebate items free after coupon and rebate. I submit every rebate at Walgreens.com without fail at the end of each month. For September alone I received $101 back and chose to have it put on my Walgreens gift card (choosing the gift card gets me an extra 10% back!). I do the same at CVS with their Extra Care Bucks. I pay close attention to expiration dates for both the register rewards and the Extra Care Bucks and try to roll them over - using them to purchase other things that will grant me more Extra Care Bucks. It is the roll over of these store specific dollar off coupons and monthly Walgreens rebates that keep me from paying much cash out of pocket.

Walmart this week - 10/5/08

Walmart has some pretty good savings in store for you this week of August 5, 2008.

• Barilla Pasta is $1.27. Use the $1 off 1 coupon here to make these only $.27 each.
• Gillette Fusion Razor Gift Packs are $5.00. There were $4/1 coupon from the last Proctor and Gamble insert making these $1 after coupon.
• Yo-Plus Yogurt 4-packs are $2.12. Use the $1 off 1 coupons from this past Sunday's paper (or numerous other papers) and a $1 off 1 printable here and here to make these $1.12 after coupon.
• Chex Mix Bars are around $2 a box. Use this $1.25 off 1 coupon to make these $.75.
• Ronzoni Smart Taste Pasta is $1.50. Use $1/1 coupon a September Sunday insert to get this for $.50. There is also a $.60 off 1 coupon here.
• Orville Redenbacher Popcorn Cakes are $1.50. There are $1 off 1 printables here making these just $.50 after coupon.
• Franks Red Hot Sauce is $0.88 (we love this sauce!) Use these $.50 off 1 coupons to get this for $.38.

Walmart Deals week of 9/14/08

There isn't a new add out but I have run across a few new deals for this week that I look forward to taking advantage of.
Keep in mind that Walmart prices do vary from a bit from store to store. What I have listed here may not be on sale at your store but, as I have learned, may be even cheaper. Double check all your prices before you walk up to the checkout counter.

• Green Giant Steamers (my husband chuckles) are $1.23 a bag. Use the $1 off 1 coupon from last weeks Sunday insert to make them only $.23 a bag.
• Kotex Lightdays are $1. Use the $1 off 1 coupon here or from the August or September issues of All You magazine to get this for free.
• Yo-Plus is around $2 for a pack of 4. These are my favorite yogurts and the $1 off 1 coupon that I got today in my paper makes these around $1 a pack!
• Johnson's Buddies are $1. There is a coupon in today's (9/14) paper for $3 off 3 Johnson's product and it specifically includes buddies which means 3 free Buddies soaps! (thank you Genevieve for the correction on my previous statement that this was a $3 off 1 coupon.)
• Viva ptowels are $1 each. Use this $.50 off 2 to get these for $.75 a piece. Not great but worth a mention.
• I read at Hot Coupon World that 8 packs of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls are $2 and 4 packs are $1.22 each. Use the $1 off 1 printable here to get these for $.22 or $1 depending on size.
• Vlasic relish is $1 regular price. Use the $1 off 1 coupon here to get these for free.
• Febreze Noticables have been spotted at many Walmarts at $5.97 each. Use the $5 off 1 coupon found in an August Sunday paper to get these for $.97 each.

Many Walmarts are clearancing some medicines. You may want to check the following deals out to see if yours is one of them.

• Alavert is clearanced at $2.50. There were $2 off coupons in a recent Sunday paper insert and $4 off 1 coupons here.
• Dimatapp is clearanced at $2 each. There is a $2 off 1 coupon here making this free.

Walmart - $9.11
CVS - $8.24 - paid with $5.99 ECB and 2.25 OOP and received $8 back in ECBs.

After counting in the Register Rewards, Easy Rebates, Gift Cards, and Extra Care Bucks I received (I count these as cash because they can be used just like cash at each store) I paid a total of...

$5.66!!!

EXCELLENT DAY!

*EDIT* This wasn't the end of my deals this week! I also ended up at Target again to do the free (or very cheap) Kashi deal one more time - buy 4 Kashi using these $2 off 1 coupons get a $5 gift card. I would do this again but we bought all the waffles which were what made this deal such a money maker. I also went back to Walgreens to do this South Beach Living deal, the 2 toothbrushes, and the Robitussin deal I mentioned here for free after my $10 Register Reward. This whole second trip cost me only about $7 OOP and I made $15 in Register Rewards and Gift Cards. I would have been free except my old Register Reward from earlier in the week was too big to use on the amount that rang up at the cash register.

Walmart deals week of 9/7/08

A lot of this week's Walmart deals (September 7, 2008 week) are the same as last weeks. There are a few new ones, too.

• Johnson's Buddies Soaps are $1 (in your Super Walmart these can be found in the back of the store in the baby clothes and diaper section). Use this $1 off 1 coupon to get them for free.
• HP printer paper is $4. Use the $3 off 1 ream coupon here to get these for $1 each
• Febreze starter kits $5.97. There is a $5 coupon from an August Sunday circular for $5 off making this $1.

• Airwick Freshmatic minis are $5.00. There have been a number of coupons out for these including a $4.00 off 1 printable coupon here making these $1 a piece.
